milling puzzles?

Has anyone tried to either mill 2D or 3D puzzles? I just got grant funding for materials to make puzzles!!! Hints and suggestions? Anyone want to try one with me for fun and giggles?

Puzzle

I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind but the National SkillsUSA competition for Automated Manufacturing had the students create a nice puzzle in a box at the 2003 competition. I only have a couple of pictures. The 5 small shaped inserts were offset to make it a little more challenging to make.

Here's a nice little captive nut that will get people scratching their heads and saying "how on earth..."

I didn't do it, and give full credit to the chap who did- he's a freaking genius if you look at his site it's under "A classic little excersise"
