Hello my name is Andy I have been working with my company for the past 2 years as a welder/do everything man. Unfortunately due to some loses we have faced here recently, I have been left with the maintence department. We are a small company (only 18 employees total) doing big business in the chip mill industry. I'm still very green behind the ears and I would like to absorb as much as possible about the machines we have. This is very overwhelming so I'm trying to atleast figure out what exact machines we have. What I do know is that we have 2 mazak cnc mills,1 okuma & howa, and 2 hurcos (bmc-50 and bmc-40). Reading through the forums and seeing people talking about the machines is like trying to read greek so any help in determining more about what specific machines these are would be greatly appreciated.
