| It is made for standard size servos. It was all CNC. First I did the 1/8 inch holes then the 1/4 inch holes. I used a G83 peck cycle for both sizes taking .010 pecks. I used the 1/8 drill also to put holes at the corners where I did the 1/4 inch milling while I was at it to lessen the load. The drilling took about 10 min total. For endmills I used a 1/4 inch and an 1/8 inch, both were 2-flute carbide square niagara cutters. I first used the 1/4 end mill to cut everything that would fit it. A lot of the corners were supposed to have a .125 radius. The spots for the servos needed a .0625 radius though, so I still cut them with the 1/4 inch cutter, but I left .020 so that the 1/8 inch cutter would do the finish work on those slots. It took about 4 hours and I dabbed some tap magic here and there but no flood coolant or anything like that. Thanks for the kind words! |
