I think it makes the pulse duration 40us (microseconds?)

Runtime is about 20 minutes at 25 ipm. There is a lot of detail in the part around the text, which does not all hold in the mdf.

FWIW the G250 drivers in the G540 require a pulse width of at least 1 micro-second. If you have a PC that has issues with precise timing then lengthening the pulse with Sherline mode or by the pulse width setting in the motor tuning screen you are making sure that the timing variations won't produce a pulse that is less than 1 us.
