Taig Milling Video

This is some of the typical work that I do with my Taig CNC mill. I work a lot of paintball markers and upgrade them. This particular machining operation is to retrofit a certain paintball marker (Angel LCD) to allow wires to be routed on the underside of the marker and up to the breech area. These wires carry the signal for infrared LED's that are mounted on opposite sides of the breech that tell the circuit board when there is a ball in the breech (OK to fire) and when there is not (not OK to fire). Just thought you all wouldn't mind seeing a video of this operation. There's still 2 more operations to go (left and right side of body) and the grip frame gets a little bit of milling as well. Hmm... sorry about that. I'm using FireFox and I don't get any popups from there. I use that site because its really quick on the downloading and the video size was huge.

Yeah i didn,t get any pop ups either. But then again I,m using firefox too. I use both browsers but mainly firefox its way more secure, but every once in awhile it won,t open something up on a website and then I,ll switch to explorer and use it.

Which model Taig and which spindle is that? Stock leadscrews or some modification you did?

Its basically all stock besides some way and stepper covers and the coolant system. I bought it as a 2027 CNC (from Carter Tools, http://www.cartertools.com/mill.html) but now its basically a 2027 ER mill since I've added the ER-16 spindle. The leadscrews, steppers and nuts are all stock. I think I'll keep it that way for a while too as it suits my needs pretty well. If I was going to need to upgrade to ball screws and servos, I would just save up for a larger machine. Plus I don't have the spare cash anyways.

I need to take some pics of the new shop and coolant setup and get a page up about them.
