wanting a taig

I'm new to the sight. I have been a toolmaker for about 6 years now ( CNC for about 2 mostly HURCO'S). I do alot of prototype work (CNC, Stereolithagraphy, RTV etc...)

Anyway, I not happy with alot of the work we turn down because its to small, not enough money to be made for the big wigs.

I am looking at purchasing a Taig Micromill 2000 CNC or equivaliant for personal use.

Any thoughts on the product?

Has anyone used the 3D digitizer and its software?

Any experience with the 4th Axis?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Most of my work will fit nicely on the larger table they offer. Will most likely be cutting Alum. Tooling Board (REN board), Wax and plastics.

I am still waiting for my Taig CNC mill to arrive. I am a complete novice on this. hope to share the experience once I get it rolling.

Can I ask where and for how much you purchased Taig for?

Also, what are you planning on doing with it?

It might not be until after the 1st of the year before my purchase, but I am hoping to get rolling soon.

Well it was purcahsed from super-tech.com for $2195.

As for as the use is concerned, I am new to this field and intend to do the following,
1. Make low density prototype PCBs
2. Make simple molds in aluminum for molding plastics in small qty.
3. Make small parts like gears
