The trick is having stepper motors, drives and power supply that all work good together. There is a tendency in the hobby community to fit large steppers thinking that it will increase performance (but it seldom does). I suggest/fit 'small' steppers to Taigs but get very good performance. Here is a video that shows how a Taig can perform (doing 90IPM rapids):

    Thanks that is inpressive.
But I Guess I am looking for some suggestions. Like I can get deepgrooves Geko 540 or super-techs servos or there steppers. I would like to use servos but is the price worth it on a Taig with out changing the spindle motor.

For a small machine like a Taig there is no real benefit to using servo motors. There is no real increase in performance or accuracy. The only thing gained is some amount of feedback so that if you are too aggressive on your feed rates the machine will fault. On a stepper system when you overload the drives they will stall. In either case you have asked the machine for more than it can provide and ruined your part. If you are loosing position on a Taig with stepper motors you have a poor drive system or are asking the machine for more than it can provide.

G540 based systems are a good fit for Taig sized machines. You just need to match the stepper motors to the machine to get best performance.
