The driver, power supply, and stepper need to be chosen to work well together. The 166 oz-in motors I use, with a G540 and 48V power supply work very well together.
You may have very different results with other drivers.

Is anyone running a 2019CR-ER with the 166oz Probotix kit? Jeff from (http://www.cnczone.com/forums/taig_m..._cnc_mill.html) seems to thinks 1660oz is the best combo.
