What got changed in the X4 speedmaster? Can X4 owners upgrade a motor?

What hardware got changed between the X4 and X4 speedmaster? Could X4 or X4+ owners swap out a motor to set up their machines as a speedmaster?

I've got some small diameter work to do on my X4+ but I can't justify another machine or a machine with a bottom end RPM of 8000. Can I change out the motor for high speed work?

currently x4 standard/plus still can not change the speed master spindle, course the size different.
also, speedmaster use VFD to control,it is different like the regular x4 series.

but later we will consider make this spindle in same size, then can easy to upgrade.

    Greetings,
If the spindle is made out-of-house by a 3rd vendor, which I suspect is, then there should not be much of a delay for this request. Yes? Just supply the Engineering specifications and a statement of work to the 3rd party for a mod of the current design. This should not take alot of bandwidth from Syil and allow the 3rd part to manufacture and supply. Please provide feed back.

    Regards, Dennis

It is possible to retro fit so the new VFD will fit in to the x4, the only pain is that you will need to bore out the spindle hole in the head of the x4. if this is not a option then let me know if you are interested and i can get a quote for a new head, and all of the vfd components.

    thanks
