Syil SX3 spindle play and fix

    Hi,

I notice there's quite radial play of the SX3 spindle. I hold the spindle lower end (the tool holder) with one hand and hold the top end with another. One hand pushes, one hand pulls, then reverse push-pull, I can feel the play. I don't think this is normal. Before I strip it down to find out the problem, did any one fix such problem before? or any recommended way to tight up the spindle?

    Many thanks
    David

I do not think it is normal at all.

Mine has no noticeable play, though I'm sure if I put a DIT on it and gave it a go we would find something.
