SYIL X4 MPG

I have decided to purchase an X4 plus with mpg etc. Am I right in assuming the mpg can be used for set up ie touching on etc in setting part zero positions as I read in a post that using it loses references and limits. Is this the case?

Also I will be running alot of long 3d machining programmes on the X4. Do people feel it is a suitable machine for this? I mean as in programmes that will run for 8 hours plus.

never had to run such a long program but it should be fine, i guess... no mpg can only be used in manual mode unless you get the connector from peu, i know what you are probably thinking and i agree

I run 4+ hour programs and it is only limited by your imagination, patience, reliability of power and the programmers skills.
You need a Mach3 license to do more than 500 lines. (I think it is 500)

I read some of the posts about the connector, this allows the use of mpg in cnc mode. Definately what I want. Are they difficult to install?

now the MPG can't work in cnc mode of x4+,it only work in manual mode.
we will try to add the mpg function in cnc mode of x4+,but it will cost a long time

Peu can already do it. Contract him to make it happen. Why should that take a long time? The work is already done.
