Need Help!- X-3 SPINDLE

Wondring what the max spindle speed I can get on an X-3 spindle without trashing the bearings, I have a job that I need to up the spindle speed to make the job economical. I would like to get up to 4000- 5000.

I know that I would have to change out the motor pulley and belt and can leave it on since I rarely use real low speed.

I just do not want to have to spend a bunch on new bearings.

People have been running them at 6K. For light use, I would at-least replace the cheap chinese grease with top quality bearing grease though. Of course that means disassembling the head. At that point it might be cost effective to replace the bearings also.

For extended production use, You might want to upgrade those bearings.
