verdict are hard to give on Chinese machine due to some irregularity in the overall making of those machine one thing for sure is that none, in my opinion, of the seig type clone machine that is the syil x4, mau-how, kx3 etc, etc are made with industry standard and by that i mean that one might get a machine that will be a Mercedes out of the box while another will get a Lada out of the box, for instance mine(x4+) worked allright out of the box but still needed lots of adjustment but other got there with faulty part or faulty electronic so in conclusion no mater which brand you buy you should not expect it to be on par with regular industrial machine in the quality of the built but all ounce adjusted and cleaned and troubleshooted (if needed) perform well and offer great precision when operated accordingly to there capacity.
so if you want to know price wise the x4 is a great machine as long as you get one that as no problem else you will have to do allot of adjustment and or troubleshooting in order to get it to work in a great way.

I understand that, coming from the Radio Control hobby we see new kits all the time and while there are always improvements to new cars there are always adjustments and tweaks needed to make the cars run right. I wasn't asking for a problem free solution I am just wanting first hand knowledge from those that have the X4 and wondering about first impressions.
then the answer is that its an overall good product

So far, as a hobby user, I'm pretty happy with mine. The problems I've encountered and had to troubleshoot, have been good learning experiences.
T think though if you are paying $5000+ you should get a product without fault out of the box, Whether it remains that way is another matter but why should the consumer have to build a machine that should have been done right in the first place! I am considering an X4+ but reading these articles it puts me in doubt as whether to spend the money, will i get a good machine or a dead duck. I want to take the machine out set it up and run it, not build the thing again after giving my money to someone who should have done it right in the first place.
Is there any guarantee with these machines?
you are totally right, but currently and unfortunately this is whats happening and this is not limited to syil machine but all the company wich supply those type of machine and unfortunately for now it does not seem to change...if 40k can buy you a 8000 pounds machine that work out of the box 5k should buy you a 500 pounds machine that work out of the box.
