| i am surprise! you are saying your hp notebook as no pcmcia slot?... then you could always try smoothstepper but i dont know how they perform on a syilx4 or you can do like i did and buy yourself a used desktop, i got for my shop three used hp desktop P4 2.8/512mb ram with some agp ati 9200/128mb for 175$ witch is a bit more the a smoothstepper but it does the job perfect what you hp notebook model, also be carefull with notebook people have alot of problem with them and mach3

| well like i said i would highly recommend you look into the used desktop market i am sure you could get a P4 1.5ghz minitower with agp slot and 512mb ram for 100$ and you could still use your laptop for the rest of what you want to do, unless you got that laptop specifivcly for that purpose

| it depends on your cam software most of them support standard cad file like dxf, stp, etc, etc...
