Hello, We made an aluminum cover to replace the stock plastic cover that comes on the OFNA Titan Twin Monster Truck. This part was made entirely with toolpaths from Vectrics Cut2D and I am very happy with the performance of the Cut2D program and the ease of use. Take a look at the pictures, and let me know what you think. ![]() ![]() Best regards,

| Hello John. I downloaded a demo copy of Vectic.... good for the price. Looks like a cut-down version of Artcam???? I think you should keep your copy of Bobcad though. Doesn't look like Vectric will do a lot of the 3D maching that you may want to do on your X4. Doesn't appear to have 4th axis capability especially 4th axis continuous machining. Like Artcam, Vectric is more designed for signs, engraving and not true 3D machining. Also Vectic seems very limited as a CAD program. Just my observations. cheers Frans |

| Hi Frans I'm using solidworks for the CAD side of things. Vectric does to 3D machining using Cut3D (see attached pic). No 4th Axis support as of yet but you can generate 4 sided machining G Code. The parts need to be manually rotated on a fixture to maintain alignment. Hopefully they will include 4th axis support soon. |

| Thanks. I worked on it 2 nights after work and didn't really keep track of the machining times for the programs. If I spent 3hrs in the garage between the 2 nights I'm sure I didn't use half that for the actual machining time. The next time around I will implement several changes that will save some time and I will take note of the actual machining times. I also need to do a finishing pass along the outside profile the next time. Best regards,

| Hello, I made another part for this project yesterday. It is a heavy duty bumper mount arm made from .25" aluminum. Drawn in Autocad and toolpaths are from Vectric. Sorry the picture is not very good. Regards, [IMG] [/IMG]
