c6 tooling

Ok guys i have had a couple of responses thankyou,still nothing that gets my machine dirty though.here are some pics of what i have done to my lathe

1,home made tool holder and tee nuts that bolt to the cross slide and on the left hand side of the picture are 3 er25 collet holders that will fit into the block when its been bored out "in situ" at nominal centres so i know where to move to in the x axis for the tool to be on centre line.then i can put drills/centre drills/boring tools/reamers.i have milled a step on the bottom of the block so it goes on square every time without clocking it up.

2,pic 2 is of the new t slotted cross slide that i made the centres of the slots are 45 mm the tool block you can see can be placed in any one of the slots that also has a tennon milled on the bottom to keep it square,i made 6 of these blocks so my tools are ready set just place it in the best slot for the job and 1 nut to tighten up and your away.(if your lathe works!)

3,pic 3 is the bottom of one of my spare tool blocks.

if anybody has any more info about setting the port/pin config i would appreceiate it i cant seem to find the c6 profile on the setup but there is some sort of numbers in place already, i printed off the zone all previous questions about c6 and reading my way through them trying things as i go....

hope some of this info helps someone.next thing i an going to make is a er40 collet chuck cos i have a set of collets and the clearance should be a lot better than having that chuck on there.

C6 Lathe

Hi there;
I read your other posts about the Lathe not working...It Should
Are you using Metrics or Inches? If you have the Syil C6 profile unzipped and dragged it to the Mach3 Turn file then it should show up when you click on the icon. I only use the C6 profile, I deleted the other Mill ones. You should see it when you click on the icon if you dont then the Profile isnt in the rite place. So it should work. I havent had any trouble with the Lathe "it will sing to you if you play the rite melody" The only issues I am having rite now is trying to get a relay to work so that I can get my "Tooling Package" working...Just double check all your stuff.

Wilco1,

I can't help you with the lathe as I only have the SX3 mill. Just wanted to compliment you on your beautiful machine work.

Hang in there, you will get it working and then we can see some pictures of the work you turn out.

OM
