I'd like to wire in another E-Stop button on the machine that will "kill" the machine movement, the E stop currently on my X3 conversion just stops the spindle... but the program keeps running.. I thought about wiring it into the "esc" key on the keyboard to work through the Mach software, but I'd really like to splice it into the serial cable. Is this possible? I was hoping that by eliminating the connection on 1 of the terminals the serial connection would terminate. Am I way wrong here?? |
