    optical switches color code

    Hello everybody,
I have lost the color code of my SX3 cnc kit optical switches.
For my switches the leads are brown, white and green.
I would be very grateful if a forum member could tell me where I have to hook-up these leads on the breakout bard.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hello Ph.,
My wires are not all the same colors as yours but I have a picture of them connected.
I am not sure if you have the same board but I have a picture of the connectors at the board if this will help. The picture is good quality so you should be a ble to zoom in and see the writing clearly on the board. I had a bad Y axis limit switch and this picture is left from replacing that on my SX3. Hope this helps.

Talking How would a circuit do?

    Interrupter connections:
Pin 1 of connector is 0v and is common to the IR LED cathode and photo transistor emitter.
Pin 2 is the collector of the interrupter transistor.
Pin 3 is 5v to feed the anode of the IR LED. This has a 270 ohm resistor in series with it at the LED. Wire usually breaks at the resistor.

It would be much more sensible for the resistor to be near the BOB as any external shorts would not cause too much current to flow from the 5v.

I am sure the circuit will help.
