I am attempting to fire up a SX3 which I have ( Trying to ) converted to CNC using a Syil kit. The mechanics are complete and work well. I am trying to get the steppers running smooth using Mach3 trial software. It dos'nt matter where I have the Acc/VEL sliders the motors turn in growling steps or vibrate fierce. I have tried a few metric profiles with the same result even tried running the motors on the bench. I am using 1.7ghz from XP desktop. I will admit I am at at disadvantage electrically (Dum). So I need some help please. |

hi.. In Mach3 please go to the ports and pins (second on dropdown I think), second tab, and hit your Print screen button. Open a word document and paste screen image using ctrl-v. Send me the doc file meckelec@y7mail.com and I will look at settings for you. Include in the email your setup file you are using. Please put in a zip file. |

| Peter. I have emailed you my setup file, with some notes. Try it. It is quite stable and has been used for a few months on many jobs now.
