    ATC

I saw this ATC and would like to know if any one has experience with ATCs for these little mills. Is this the only option?

I have been watching your build and am impressed but I would like a tool changer that is not table mounted as the X3 already has limited table area. With a 4th axis installed there is very little room (~7 inches) on the table. It looks like the little machine shop ATC I linked to could be mounted on the column possibly which would limit the z height of your work on one side of the table but you could still use the whole table.

If you look at another post in the benchtop forum, there is a post I made about extending x-axis travel by almost 3 inches. That would allow additional room for a table mounted ATC like Hoss's. Thats what I intend to do. I cant justify spending 1500 dollars for an accessory when the mill doesnt cost that much., and then have to modify it to work.

My mill came with the plates already cut like that. With out the 4th axis I am getting over 15 inches of travel.

Here is a picture from Syil America showing what the plates look like.
