    X4?

Does anyone know anything about the X4?
On the website it looks just like an X3.

No, You're right, it looks like a super x3 with 4th axis and splash tray around the table. The syil range, as advertised on some web sites are not refered by most syil sites. It would appear web site updates are slow or stock info and images are used cut and paste stylee.
I dont know what I have made, but the swaf is shiny.

The mill in the X4 picture is also missing a handle on the right side of the spindle.

Hi. This is my first post here. I'm a brazilian knifemaker and I'm thinking buying one X4. There's no syil representant here in Brazil. What do you people think about that?

    Syil Canada

there are some fantastic upgrades on the x4 plus over the x3 super.

    These mills are not retrofits.

MPG (hand jog wheel) allows for simple easy manual functions (ie) quick face operation and easy part set up.

LCD display and touch pad controls allow, axis direction, coolant, and spindle control. The touch pad will also work for manual style machining with out a pc attached.

    (upgraded) Mean Well power supply.

    NSK Bearings.

Double nut ball screws, instead of single nut.

ONE SHOT OILING, hard lines are directly piped to ways allowing for easy and consistent oiling.

    coolant included.

chip tray / guard + coolant tray.

We should have stock in Canada in the next few weeks.

Sounds great. Do you know if it is possible to purchase some of those parts to retrofit X3 machines? In particular I am interested in the one shot oiling.

Are you saying the flood coolant system is included? (The one that is listed as an option on the syil website)

I don't think ANYONE has an X4 yet.

It is a brand new design that just went into production. Syil Canada seems to be the only only who took any pre-orders for one, and it sounds like they will be able to fullfill those pre-orders by the middle of next month.

I think the rest of the Syil resellers aren't going to advertise the mills until they have them in stock; partly to avoid killing sales of their current stock of SX3 mills (although the X4 is definitely being sold as a more expensive class of machine).
