Difficult C6 move in: has anyone disassembled one?

I've got a difficult move in coming the Monday. I've got to move a 450lb C6 up a narrow flight of stairs. Has anyone disassembled one into sub assemblies to lighten this lathe?

I've been looking for an online exploded view diagram without any luck.

We packed mine up a flight of stairs, we got 4 of us on it, and it wasn't bad at all. Seems it would be a lot easier to find some people to help you than to disasemble the lathe.

I should be able to find enough help to schlep my lathe upstairs. It's hard to picture what lifting 450lbs of steel is like.

Hi People,
There is not 400 pounds in a C6 Maybe 280 plus change. I tool the tailstoock off mine, then, after removing the R/H end bearing for the leadscrew off, I was able to remove the saddle and all it's fruit. Obviously the milling head was already on the floor. I then moved it to where it had to go standing on it's tailstock end with a stack truck. To get it up onto the bench, I laid a plank there, smeared some grease on the plank and slid it up the plank. On level ground three can move a C6 with all the fruit. So your guesstimate of 4 to go up a flight of stairs should bolt it in..
