Hi Journey Man
Glad to hear you will be making chips with the C6 real soon. I will be watching this thread to see how the C6 works out for you.
Regards,
Wes

Anyone seen the new Sieg lathe yet?
Comes complete with auto turret and is supposed to replace the aging C6.

Hey Journey Man, where are you located? I live up in Portland and have been kicking around going down to Coos Bay myself to pick up a X2. I have a IH Mill that I haven't quite finished converting over to CNC but thought an X2 would be nice to do some small stuff on and learn a bit more about CNC'ing.

Cool <no pun intended>, maybe eventually we can get together and I can see the lathe work. I really want to get a CNC lathe also, my dad has a pretty decent manual lathe that I've turned quite a few projects on but I know there are some things that really would have been much easier and accurate on a CNC one.

SR-C6 CNC Lathe

[QUOTE=P Riedie;317548]Anyone seen the new Sieg lathe yet?
Comes complete with auto turret and is supposed to replace the aging C6.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following information is an E-Mail request to Shanghai Sieg Machinery in regards to
F SR-C6 Lathe . I posted this for anyone interested in this information.

My name is Sparkling from Shanghai Sieg Machinery.
You are very welcome to visit our website. http://www.siegind.com/

The one you found SR-C6 is our model KC6. Now we have KC6-NU which means the machine has been installed with 1000W brushless motor, main motor driver, Z axis and X axis with stepper motor and ground ball screw, one shot lubitration system and 4 way tool post. Please check our leafletter although we have saw these in Cncworksonline.

Later on we will have KC6-PC which will be include the CNC control system. Hopefully we have finished the test at the end of this year.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for your interest in the SR-C6 CNC Lathe. However, we do not export the SR-C6 presently.

The SR-C6 is a system integration of the China Shanghai Sieg CNC-ready Lathe with the Mach3 software controller and we only handle the Philippine market at this point.

I believe Sieg will soon introduce the same product to be called KC6-PC to the world market. This email is copy furnished to Sparkling (yiping@siegind.com) of Shanghai Sieg and you may want to get in touch with him on the availability and other information of this machine in the US.
