    Red face syil sx3 cnc z home switch

    hi
    just got my new mill last week ,just before price jump.

    unwrapped bubble wrap on back panel 2 nuts 1 washer fell out, not a good sign.
    found were they went.
    must of came loose during shipping.
    locktight ? might help

    so all set ready to run.
    running mach3 , so lets home this thing.
    x y good
    z crash
    pull cover off to look at switch , screw heads holding flag for photo interrupter switch hit back plate which is were switch is .
    look like switch got hit to.
    well with head down error: switch active
    put thinner screw heads in flag, z will not home.
    diagnostic page shows m3 on.

    i need a new switch...

    emailed syil support : no responce.

    called syil support , left message still no responce

    ...
    does anyone no where i ca get replacement switch?

    machine seems good except for switch ran small program with out homing
    seem ok

    oh ya spindle runs twice of what is programed any thoughs on spindle?

    Robo, I had a similar problem.

    1) Go to the diagnostics page of Mach 3 to see if the switch works... try to make the switch status light flash.

    2) If it works, create a temporary flag several inches below the highest point.

    3) Homing only works if the acceleration is high enough not to fly past the edge of the flag.

    thanks for the info .
    I went to the diagnostics page of Mach 3 last night and tryed to make the switch status light flash.
    but nothing just stays on .Error message says switch is active..
    will try it again tonight.
    thanks for the help..
    still no responce from syil.......

    My machine is doing some jazzy things with the spindle speed too.

    I'm going to be looking for some info on how to calibrate it... I'll let you know if I find something.
