Spindle Problem - Help!

I am still working out the bugs on my x3, now I have a problem I didnt have before? I cant control the spindle from my laptop (mach3) I can hear a relay or something clicking in the machine but nothing happens and on the spindle control on my computer screen there is a -1 in the S-vo box? I can turn it off cnc mode and manually turn on the spindle. On the diagnostics screen when I click on the toggle button the output light comes on and I hear the clicking in the machine. Any ideas? Getting tired of chasing these problems Thanks Brian

Hi Brian,
Have you used the driver diagnostic test to see if the machine is under mach3control? I had some similar problems and usually check to be sure the machine is under Mach3 control if I have any kind of a control problems. I ended up removing a wireless LAN card and all the unnecessary files that were loading on my laptop to have better control.

I had the same problem. I ended up replacing the spindle control board, and thta fixed the problem.

The clicking is caused by a lack of pulses. Sounds like you are running on too slow of a computer or have the kernel speed to low.
