First time set up of Syil X4 Plus - sample Gcode for a first run?

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the great posts on these forums! My dad and I are setting up his Syil X4 Plus, and I've already learned a ton from everyone here.

So far so good, we're getting the hang of homing and generally understanding the setup.

We're getting ready to run a first test of Gcode. Does anyone have a very short, simple program to share that would be a good first program? I've looked around and haven't quite found what I'm looking for. The Mach3 included examples look a little more involved or just larger than is appropriate for this size machine.

I'm thinking something like sinking a couple of small holes, something that involves two, maybe three, axes, but other suggestions are of course welcome.

We've made progress, sinking some holes and making a small rectangular pocket. Pretty exciting for us!
