    Lathes?

Just wondering if syil are planning to bring out any new design lathe?

If not, is the C6 still in production, I've never been able to get a response from the UK distributor about them.

    Thanks,
    Chris

From what i have been reading in the Tormach blog they are working on one. Also have you seen the new stuff they have i am really thinking that i just might go with a PCNC 1100 with there power draw bar and stand. Plus they have a speeder that will take the spindle up to 15 thou rpm. ne thing i have noticed about the dealers in North America is the pics of the models are all diffrent and so is the info on these machines. Tormach makes 2 machines and both seem to be good solid working machines. I think it is also they have alot more options available and the tooling. they have a blog showing the machines and it is updated all the time. I have been reading about the enclosure and power drawe along with the ATC for my Syil stuff what seems like over one year. I really don,t want to wait around for another year reading about upcoming products with the odd pic of stuff coming down the line. Back to the Tormach lathe it would not surprise me if they have something by this summer for its customers, not just a retro fit Seig Lathe either i bet. Guys if you want loyal customers then stream line your products and release new products instead of just talking about it. Sorry but if i can not see anything new and omproved products i will just buy a Tormach and all of its add ons.

After watching the forums for > 1 year, I came to this same exact conclusion. Tormach has continual updates and development activities that actually happen. That made the choice easy.

I should mak eone thing clear. Keith at Syil Canada has been great to work with. I have not had any problems with him or the service i got from the people working there. But what i do see if a failure on Syil China and how the new products trickle in at a very slow speed. Tormach gets it **** from the smae place as they do and yet they always seem to be releasing new ****. I just saw there 4th axis that tilts like a 5th axis kind of. New tooling and **** like that. Syil make two machines maybe 3 tops. Guys want rpms and some weight behind them. Also if the X4 Plus costs more and yet you charge from the flood coolant and the 4th axis what is so plus about compared to the X4. Try getting some high quality pics of your products and then have the distributers all use the same pics. Just my two cents worth but if you want to keep moving product in North America start by showing finished products like the ATC the Power Draw bar and not just a You Tube video but high qaulity pics taken by a pro and not just some shots taken by someone with a camera.
