Post Processor Problems ? I give up!!

I would love to know how to get this machine (syil x4)to do what it is suposed to do. 15 years of cnc machining centre programming experience and I just cannot get the thing to run a program correctly as it was posted from Mastercam using the post processor that Mach 3 has provided. Not having any luck at all even when programming it manually in Mach3, Is there any other interface available for these machines?. Main problem is in circular interpolation G02 & G03 it seems to just go where it feels like going, have tried putting in the Radius Value like Fanuc but that doesnt work either. Am at my wits end after 3 months of stuffing around with this machine and assosiated set up problems, am still waiting for machine dealer to send 4th axis servo controller. A very bad experience so far, very unhappy with the way the machine is not simply plug and play as it should be.

Hey There David Young; Can you do a Rectangle Program using Mach Wizards ?? Like An O.D. Profile with Corner Rad's. and then in the center of of the rectangle do a circle? Then save the pgm and compare the code to your M-Cam code of the same Pgm? I use a DOS CAM PGM...I had to Make a Post Processor for My SX3 Mill...I know the frustrations you are having though...it took me awhile to get the processor to do what I wanted...But now it is Flawless...Plug-n-Play...I think a Standard Fanuc Post was what I started with and then went from there...the I's & J's Ithink were Ok...but I had to change G02/G03...I finally got it and I believe you ill too... The problem I had was related to Bobcam. In the tool menu I input the plunge and feed values without using the letter 'F', consiquently in the tap file I was getting Z-0.420 instead of Z-0.4, also the circular motions were wrong and off centre.
    Now with the correction made I'm getting Z-0.4F20 (F20 plunge mm/min) and J0.5F50 (F50 feed mm/m).
Simple mistake when one is a little dumb and inexperienced.

Thanks for the explanation. Glad you got it sorted out
Like you I have been having some bobcam input problems as well. Mine are more related to the tool size that i choose (now that is a silly mistake) LOL

Now that everything is sorted out...

Are you willing to share the MMD, Control, and PST files?

I have a new X4 controlled by Mach3 and would like to code using MC X4...

    Thanks
