As many of you have experienced, it is a little awkward buying or simply getting information from Syil machines. That is mainly because Syil China (The Manufacturer) Has not streamlined its operations for the rest of the world. In the Case of the US there are as of now 3 authorized independent retailers: These are Syil America, Syil North America (Formerly Syil Canada) and Syil USA. That is confusing and flat out inefficient. But that is not all. Each authorized retailer is in charge of its own sales, service and training without any set corporate standards. That means that some authorized retailers have service and training and others simply don't.
The Syil machines come with one year warranty, but If you are not an experienced machinist and can't diagnose the problem yourself, you are screwed. You will have to ship your CNC machine to your retailer. That is quite expensive and a pain in the rear. Therefore is of the most importance to assure yourself your vendor have a full time CNC machinist technician on its staff.
In this business, its all about know how. If you have no-one to help you what could be done in 10 mins. could take you months and thousands of dollars in wasted materials and equipment. Find yourself a retailer that will give you the time and help you get your parts made.
As of the price of the machines they also vary a lot from vendor to vendor. Since there are only 3 in USA call them all for a quote, pay attention to their response time and find out about the kind of service and training available. If you do this I know you will enjoy your Syil CNC machine.
