Default Mastercam X2 post processor for X3

I am trying to get used with Mastercam X2 and I am interested to know if any one used a post processor of this software for Mach3, optimised for Syil X3 for metric units.

    Thanks in advance

I could be wrong and I'm traveling the same road as yourself with MasterCAM/SX3, but from what I've read Mach3 seems to work well with the default Fanuc post.

    Hi Peter

Not really to late. I am working actually my machine for 2d cuts since I bought it and I had lots of work to do working with this way but I want to start to use it with something more advance. Did you try to do something with Mastercam and Syil milling machine?

humm would be interrested in that to tryed the default fanuc post but it as some function that mach3 does not seem to do the right way, i also tryed the one for mc9 that is on novalab.com but it seems to be lacking some option that i would like to have like g28 and the tool lenght and diametre seem to have to be predifined instead of called by g43 and g42 dont know if anyone as made a post specific to mach3 other then the one from novalab

humm weird i can get it to create a machine definition?!

edit: ok does not work for me i seem to be getting the same bug as with the default fanuc post where my machine goes over limit from the home position instead of starting from the work offset

edit 2: cant get any to work fine they all have bug i guess i am toast, it really sucks since i have access to mcx but i am lacking a good post to use it.

If you open the TXT doc you will see this at the top of the page.

    # 4-axis/Axis subs. : No

I take this as meaning no fourth axis?

Yes, this post take the 4th axis. I use it every days, your can use all the 5x toolpaths of mastercam with the option 4th axis... You can do very complex parts.
