Insert date and time in M post

Is there a way to automatically insert the date and time in the M post?

Thanks
John

RE: Insert date and time in M post

Add the line below.

"(" {Date} " " {Time} ")"

Not sure if this will help, but one way to get the date is to find the "SBackDoor Supressheader" line in your post and space it over, this will fill in your Company name, address and date. I did a custom setup sheet thru Surfcam and when I post a program all I need to do is hit "Create Setup Sheet" and paste it into my program. This was done by finding the SetupgenTXT.cfg file and altering it to your needs.

PM your e-mail and I can send you what I have.

Darinbee solution is what your really looking for, didnt see his post at the time.

Thank you for your help, date and time is working great.

Where did you learn how to do this sort of thing? Some of these post edits seem rather simple once you know the language. Is there a bunch of info somewhere?

Thanks,
John

Thank you all for help in adding date and time to the MPost

I had never tried to do so but often thought it would be handy and it is.

Just got tired of waiting for my resellar to "fix" my post and started asking questions, eventually you try things on your own and figure things out.

I changed my M-Post as suggested as soon as I saw this thread. It has already proven helpful. It lets me see when a program was posted and if I have actually loaded a new one. Big help Thank you

RE: Insert date and time in M post

Contact your dealer and ask them for the Posthaste Manual or contact

Just remember to make a copy of your existing post before you make any changes, that way if something happens you still have a working post and dont make to many changes at once. Also you can customize your tool sheet too.

P.S. I'm sure whatever changes you want to make to your post or setup sheets can easily be solved by members here, I also gave you my phone # and would gladly help you thru any changes you would like. I am not affiliated with any reseller or Surfcam just an everyday user for the last 14 yrs. that likes to make things better and easier to use.
