Hey all, I'm running some 316L stainless, i'm using a 3 flute hard lube coated 3/4" endmill. It's been flame cut and was wondering what kind of settings to use. Depth of cut, engagement angle. I'm using a Haas, with a 7500 rpm spindle. Thanks for any input. |

| I cut sst 304 with 5/8 4 flutes carbide coated endmill, DOC 1.25in , sfm 650, step over 10% of tool diameter( don't remenber angle) , feedrate 45 ipm, helix feedrate 15ipm, and I use coolant. I use one tool to cut a pocket 1.25in x 4 in x 2.25in deep last for the whole job of 40 parts. good luck |
