Newbie- Sharnoa Tiger 4 post needed

We just purchased a used Sharnoa with a Tiger 4 controller and need to find out what the file extension will be for the NC output. Also, if anyone is currently using Surfcam and has a post for the tiger 4 I would really appreciate a copy!!!

SURFCAM Velocity 3 comes with a two posts for Tiger.

Check for these files:-

C:\SURFCAM\PostLib\MPost\Tig4.m3

C:\SURFCAM\PostLib\MPost\TIG5.M3

I have those 2 files also, but when I post out my program they don't give me a correct format. I ran this make of machine about 10 years ago, and if I remember correctly the output for this post should start with %%. My main problem right now is what to use for the file extension. I was told to not give it an extension. Is this correct?

you can edit the post to do what you want.

just open the file in your text editor and edit away. the help file for surfcam is full of info on how an MPOST file is setup.

as for the file extension, it really shouldn't matter, tho I've only messed around with fanuc style controllers.

You can use the Post Menu Wizard to add this post to your postform.m and modify your surfcam.pst file.

START | All Programs | SURFCAM Velocity 3 | SURFCAM Tools | Post Menu Wizard.

Your SURFCAM Dealer should be able to assist you.
