I recently bought a Chinese Quick 6090 CNC router.
Via Surfcam's post menu ulity I added new post (.mac file) it says that post has been sucessfully added,
but when I try to post it in operation maneger I get this error:
Access violation at adress 0044565C. Read of adress 00000000
well since I didn't found a solution for my post processor problem I started using FANUC 15MB post.
But I have a question: Is it possible, that because of a wrong post processor my machine is not accurate?
Yesterday I contour some arcs and they were all off by 2mm.
Btw: What is a usual file extension for post processor?
For mpost type posts the extension is usually .M3 for 3 axis mills .M4 for 4 axis mills and so on.
I've never seen a machine manufacturer provide a post for CAM software before. I'd give up on that .mac file and customize a post from an existing one already in Surfcam.
You didn't happen to be using a 4mm endmill when you noticed that your arcs were off by 2mm were you?
if the post is pretty close you might be able to edit it yourself. the post is called postform.m and depending on the version is located below .. mpost directory. you state that an arc is off be 2mm that's huge and if the machine ran the tool path and nothing else is wrong you might want to look at gain or could the part have moved etc because posted tool path is pretty simple stuff.
