Need help...still noob and don't understand

actually I'm making submarine and rov parts...how cool is that? So far everything is aluminum or plastic. But they know I can machine any material, they're starting to talk titanium.

Does anyone know of a good text for Surfcam?

"maximizing surfcam" is the name of the book I used in school in the late nineties. I went through all the exercises and came out proficient in 2d and introduced to 3d. The book walks you through from the basics and progressively gets more advanced. You draw the part and in the next chapter you program the part. I didn't end up using surfcam on the job until about 2003 but I jumped right in and got productive fast. I've heard people rag on it but it made good sense to me. I think it cost $118.00 back then.

I have that one too, by Dr. Jonathon Lin. It would be nice if they did a revision to the current software. I think my book is for ver. 7.

ok if you looked at my last post. Do you think that part is doable with just 4th axis or is it just wishful thinking. I did the top part of the prop no problem...it's the backside that's gonna kill me.
