Surfcam feedback

mms had an article about truemill, in it were screen shots of z-rough and srm type backplots, so I suppose they are up to something in that area. In my opinion they'd be stupid if they weren't working hard on this as a new feature.

I'd also like to see them do some work on filleting surfaces (outside corners)

I will probably miss out on all of this, as work at my shop is starting to pick up, and I'm quitting my day job where I use surfcam in two weeks.

FWIW, just viewed a preview of Velocity II. Saw some impressive improvements but still no changes to the basic interface, sad. New features won’t make up for a clunky, limited-customizable interface.

Some of the areas of improvements include Truemill and truemill roughing, direct import of Mastercam files, Hole processing, wire EDM, Verification, masking, mouse wheel Zooming, DXF DWG import/export. Solidworks 2006 PDO “free with all qualifying Surfcam systems”. I thought you had to pay extra on maintenance to continue to receive Solidworks PDO?
