Hi guys, *CLIFFNOTES: Need to cut pocket fully, leaving behind no material. Don't know how to do. Help?* I'm new to Surfcam and cam software in general. I'm trying to do what I THOUGHT would be a simple operation, but it's turning out to be a chore. I've been trying to get this cut to work for entirely too long and it's frustrating me to no end. I just want this simple cut, and I want the cutter to start from the outside and work in. Alternatively, it would be acceptable to work from the inside and cut out, as long as it completely removes the material around the edges. I've tried 2 axis contour and 2 axis pocket. Neither one wants to work properly for me. So...any ideas? I'll gladly send the part file to anyone who might be able to help. [IMG] [/IMG] |

| Basically, I want it to do this: Milling Open Features: 2-axis Contour Conveniently, the link to the part is for a different part. :/ |

| Of course, after screwing with this for all of yesterday, I finally got it. Cutting method changed. Same result if I had chained the part profile from the opposite end. Amazing I never once did that, considering how many times I did this. |
