Good Morning all; I am working this and next week over at a friends shop using his several Fadal Machines, it turns out that my SurCam MPost for Fadal does not provide the correct format for Fadal to rigid Tap. I am sure that someone has already build a "MPost" that works, would you please share that with me? I am using Velocity 5.1 I believe that it is a G84.2 and that all the info is on a single line. Thank you Lowell |

| Sorry, I don't have a post for a Fadal but there is one included with Surfcam that has G84.2. Try this: In Windows, go to Start, All programs, Surfcam (whichever version you have) then Surfcam tools, then Post Menu Wizard, then add post. There is a Fadal with tap that you can choose. Now when you post a program, that should be one of the options when you choose to post a program. Of course, some of the other details might be changed but you will have to check it with a good working program that is running on the Fadal. |

| Thank you, I tried that but am having trouble with it finding the INC files and when I locate them it says they are the wrong version so they can't be read. I am working through the process to edit the template so that it replicates what the shop has been doing by hand now for years and years. Lowell |

| Is this a new install of V5? Are there previous versions of Surfcam installed on the computer also? The reason I ask is sometimes Surfcam installs in a different folder and thus the surfcam.pst file located in \surfcam\velocity (version of what you have) might have Surfcam looking in the wrong spot for the INC file. Like in this section of surfcam.pst file: PostItem OKUMA Status OKUMA OSP Series ChDir "C:\SURFCAM V4\Velocity4\MPOST" Delete "%p%N.NCC" Command "C:\SURFCAM V4\Velocity4\MPOST\LPOSTWIN" "%p%n" 6 Task "C:\SURFCAM V4\Velocity4\editNC\editNC" "%p%N.ncc" Make sure C:\SURFCAM V4\Velocity is correct and pointing to the correct program. Sometimes if you load V5 on a computer with V4, this will not be correct. Also make sure that the task line is pointing to where your files are placed. I modified mine to have the .ncc files go to their own folder so that I can back them up easier. So for mine, under Task, mine says: Task "C:\SURFCAM\VELOCITY4\editNC\editNC" "C:\EXCELL\%N.ncc" . So my .ncc files get posted in the C:\EXCELL folder on my computer. When you mess around in the surfcam.pst folder, please realize that there are different sections referencing the various types of posting options, ie., lathe, 2 axis mill, 3 axis mill. So for your Fadal, just modify the section where the 2 axis mill is unless you had the post menu wizard place it under 3 axis mill. Before making any changes to these files, always best to make a back up to keep an original version of it somewhere. Keep us posted. |

Y??? G43 Z1. H? M8 G84.1 G98 X? Y? Z? R.1 F12.5. S400 X? Y? X? Y? G80 M9 G0 G28 G91 Z0 M1 (SPEED)(PITCH) = FEED PICK A REASONABLE SPEED SAY 400 (EX 6-32 THREAD) 1 ÷ 32 = .0312 (400)(.0312)=12.5 SO F=12.5
