Please... More Banner Ads !!!

i dont mind the banner ads as you got to pay for bandwidth somehow some of them are even nice to click on hehe, but they are a pain when they show up in the middle of the forum. I would like to see them moved to the side half way down :P making 100x300 ads or what ever fits under the buddylist/search but it's really no "Deal breaker" to me :P

I don't know if it's the banner ads or something else, but bringing up new pages is getting painfully slow. I can see the CNCzone logo and the top right ad first. Then I see the network activity lamp churn on for a loong time before the page shows up.

This means I now don't read through as many subjects anymore. So yes, it matters to me as I feel it unnecessary to reload the same thing several hundred times. I do like to have the advertizers here, after all their products (mostly) interest me, but as I say it annoys when it steals my time. Then I rather go and make some chips.

So I would actually prefer a popup if that would make the pages slimmer and faster.

Are you on dialup? I'm finding the speed of the page loads to be quite fast, the banner's on the site have no impact on the speed of the site, because the images are stored on your computer. This site is however not dial-up friendly.

I agree, I belong to many on-line forums and like seeing banner ads, it's makes the site look more interesting, believe me the ads are here to stay.

but that "Banner Ad" in the middle of cncadmin/jim's post does make it harder to read the forum. but if the top ads and money donated doesn't cut it. you got to do what you got to do better them than no site at all. :P

How do you store the images on our computers?

Specifically if I don't allow page caching.

Do you see all the banners? If you don't allow page cashing you would be able to see any of the site color or graphics.
