Now both of the forums are clogged with X(x) discussions, and its just more difficult to read. It seems easier just to give up and combine them again.
Unless of course anyone has some ideas on how to housebreak X mill users so they learn that it is only appropriate to go on the paper.....
Yeah, that sure beats simply asking the poster (or moving) a post to the appropriate forum.
Interesting to me that lathes & mills are included in the same forum, but it does not seem to bother anybody.
To me they are radically different and should be separate.
Oh well, more of the mysteries of life!
I agree that all the benchtop discussion should, optimally, be together in one easy to read area, but the reality is that it becomes problematic attempting to actually pick out the actual benchtop discussion that inevitably gets buried in a giant steaming pile of usually redundant X(whatever) modification questions.
Pehaps a simple FAQ for " Why can't I get my entry-level Chinese mill to get .000000000000000000000001" and act like a Bridgeport? " would keep some of it down to a dull roar.
Im feelin yer pain. I will look into it and talk with the powers that be. I think I would like to see the benchtop mills, meaning smaller than the RF-45 square column variety, on one viewing plane. Makes it easier to navigate and quicker for research.....Stand by JRouche
