You can click the X to remove the ad. We have to make a living and also have to pay for the costly servers, that we upgrade every year that keep the site fast and up 99.9%.
At first I thought it was an adware virus. Then I checked the page source and discovered it's actually part of the cnczone page load.

I've cut my visits in half since this thing appeared. It's so poorly implemented it makes me think all the cnczone cares about is hits.
It doesn't work. Please remove it.

The latest ad can be cancelled when your click the X but it pops up again just seconds later no question it is extremely annoying. Most other ads are fine.
I'm using Firefox and it stays off for the duration, unless I close and re-load Thunderbird?
