    Expanded search features

The best value these kinds of forums have is in the vast knowledge base they amass. But the information lies dormant unless one can get to it. Simple search engines are okay for smaller threads, but for large threads, it's very difficult to sift through all of the posts to find your keyword hit.

This site is getting to the size now where more powerful search capabilities are needed.

To that end, I suggest enhancing the search capabilities to allow being taken directly to a keyword hit that may be on page 3 of a 6 page post, I would like to be able to click on the search hit and be brought directly to the keyword hit in the post on page 3 (e.g.). Then from there I can read forward or backward for context.

    Thanks

    Jay Kyle

Have you tired this- http://www.cnczone.com/forums/search.php how does that work for you? In the next big upgrade the search is boolean capable and is a much better search than any other system out their for this type of forum. Also is the similar thread list on the bottom of any help?
    Thank You,
