IMHO This video is definitely worth watching.

The builder has done a very nice job using mostly simple items to build 10 very nice stirling engines and one vacuum engine. The Video is about 4.5 minutes long.

very clever building engins from discarded equipment.
prolly the coolest video ever! I want to make one but dont know where to start. I think i should grab a book off amazon.
best thing is too Google, "Jan Ridders stirling engines " go to link and download.
I did that and those engines are truly works of art. Better than I could ever hope to do.
Still IMHO the ten engines in the first video prove that one does not need a machine shop to build working stirling engines so anybody, maybe even mecan do it.
