    Pressurized 2 cyl. V stirling engine for power generation

    Any V2 air-compressor would be a good starting platform. From the cutaway drawings I have seen, it appears that they use the double rod seal with intermediate chamber arrangement to pressurize the top of the engine only and not the crankcase.

    Look up US5938207 for details. Although this patent discusses the rod seals for a 4 cylinder double-acting piston swash plate engine, it is still appicable (and I believe applied) in the V2 design.

    As for the 4 cylinder double-acting piston swash plate type of engine, please keep this thread about the V2 design, If you wish to discuss building a swash plate version, please start another thread.

    Phil,

    They have a gas fired burner they use for their 'boxed' generator set, also biomas and solar power. The heat transfer head/tubes are of a different configuration for the solar job.
