I don't know... slo syn is fairly old tech. you might look around for newer stuff. but, I will ask or wait for comments from people who have better knowledge.
Steve.
I can get locally a M093-FD-406 450 OzIn and an M093-FD11 300 OzIn both NEMA 34 for $80 CAN each (used). I'm working towards a 4x4' CNC router, are they big enough for x/y drives and is this a good deal? Should I have any concerns with used gear like this?
Thanks
Mike

You should be able to find a new nema34 with better specs for a lower price than that. The driver you use will determine what performance you can get.
Agreed they are a bit high $ and old at that. Guy wouldn't budge on the price saying they were $300 motors new. I already had a basket of stuff I was going to purchase and just walked out. No deals no sale here.
I've seen these bigger/new motors for sale on the web but it appears that most ship international via UPS or not to Canada at all. UPS (or FedEx) brokerage fees are beyond comprehension, add duty etc and it gets simply ridiculous. There's even a place that has what I like in Mississauga (30 minute drive) but they only ship via UPS with what equates to a 40% shipping charge, no pickups permitted for parts. No fair deals around here so far...sadly, money comes a lot slower in these times so I can afford to be patient.
i've got some sweet deals for slo syn motors from ebay . if you keep an eye on there then you can find some good deals on the slo syn hybrids .
