Wire stepper motors to G540

I recently purchased a G540 (very nice) and have some old Hobby CNC steppers #23-305-DS8A that I would like to use. They are 8 wire, that I turned to six wire. Which color wires go where? Anyone have a diagram to hook these up?

I know there are markings on the G540, but which colors goes to which pin? Thanks

heres the motors:

The G540 is a bi-polar drive. It takes a 4 wire connection. If you have an 8 wire motor, you will need to wire it bipolar parallel. It sounds like you have wired them unipolar. You will have to find the datasheet for the motors to see how to wire them up.

See the instructions for the G540 to wire them up to the connectors. Don't forget the current limiting resistors.

From another thread (found via Search), here's the pin out for what appears to be your motor.

If you have a multimeter just measure the resistance between the wires. You can work out the coils. Depending on if you join the coils or run with just 2 will decide your speed vs torque. Remember the G540 is Bipolar so you only want 4 wires connected. If you join two coils in parallel you will gain more torque. See attached diagram.
