Anyone ever use the Probotix stepper motors and drives? I'm looking at powering a THK GL1505S slide with 10:1 gear reducer and a NEMA 23 mount. Ballscrew pitch is 5mm. Going to use it on a CNC mill I'm building. Link to the kit I'm looking at below. They have very good prices but have not seen much about them. Thanks http://www.probotix.com/3_axis_stepp...or_driver_kit/ |

| WELL WELL... I have EXACTLY the same question, when you look at them they're just great but what about the specs? they are good? Have you watched something on eBay or stuff like this Bhockett? http://cgi.ebay.ca/3-PCS-NEW-NEMA-23...9#ht_500wt_749 http://cgi.ebay.ca/Nema-34-Stepper-M...ht_1669wt_1108 greetings! |

| Good to hear you have had good luck with the probotix motors. What power supply, drives and software are you using? I have downloaded the Linux operating system and cnc software since it is free and hope to run it on a spare computer I already have. Are you using ball screws to drive your system? Thanks for any input you may have. I'm planning on ordering all the stuff to get my THK slide up and running tomorrow. |
