Steeper motor humming

x axis only has a low pitch hum... same motor and drive on y axis no problem thier
can anyone help

What drive controller are you using? I have the HobbyCNC board and it buzzes like crazy. Supposedly the Gecko drives are totally slient.

Any chopper based motor controller can produce noise in the audio range.

It is wierd that only one motor would hum. Can you swap motors or drives to see how the noise moves around?

It's not unusual for one motor to sound differently than another even with the same drivers.
