For good performance you would actually nedd more than 15V, but it may be ok to start.

If the motors are just humming you may have made a mistake on the wiring.
    Better post your wiring too.
But the humming can also point to wrong software setting.
Your power supply is rather low and the speed of the motors may be limited.
May be you controller is speeding up to fast and your motors stall. That's humming too.
    Hello, thanks for your reply,

the wiring connection is as follow
    it a 6 wired motor
    A+ blk, A- green, B+ bleu, B- red
    yellow and wht NC

Also using the software MACH3, were to I set the speed in the controller

I found a 36v 10amp 350w would that be to much for this board

    Thanks

    36V is realy critical.
Can the supply being adjusted ?
Most of them feature a poti to adjust the output voltage.
I would try around 30V as maximum.

I have seen posts in this forum from people that have burned the TA8435 above 30V or so... Maybe it is worth it to search the forum for such post and see exactly what they used.

IMHO I would not risk anything above 24V with those TA8435 chips.

hi dilbert, a couple of days ago I recieved the same board with mach 3 and I can't find the way to configure mach 3 to make it work. Just conected the four steppers and configure the mach 3 as says in the manual attached with board, but nothing happends. Can you explain me what you have done to configure soft? have you done any other conection or just motors and parallel cable?
    Thank you.

    hi, santix
    1. make sure your step motor match with your ta8435h bipolar board, check for spec motor, current, motor type bipolar or uni polar, and wiring. make sure that your motor current less than 1.5Amp. ok step 2
    2. make sure that your PS can supply curent for 3-4 motor
    3. make sure that your motor installed on the right way. check 4cable's motor with ohm meter.
    4. configure mach3 software as notifications on the small cd.
    5. try for one motor first, x axis, dont forget to turn on e-stop untill green download gcode and run
    6. see xyza's led, is it turn on even very small ligth?
    7. if x's led blink your config for x, ok. if your motor doesnt turn pls check your wiring.
i hope this is can help your trouble.

    hi David,
thanks for your reply. My problem is that I don't know how to conect or gonfigure estop. In the miniCD they only explain a coulpe of things but they say nothing about estop, limits or home conections.
Maybe this is the reason why my program does'nt work, cause it says "Esternal Estop requested". Do you have more information about this board pin conectios?
Any information will be very well recieved.
    Thanks

As per renatopub, I did not buy the 30v, order the 24v

Just received my new 24v power source, excellent it works well, Now just trying to set the pins in mach3 Can anybody tell me how to set this pins setting.

    Thank-you

Unhappy Please help with a problem

    Hi All.
I also have a version of this board (4Axis) it was working ok with my machine and PC,then few days ago mach 3 started freezing the PC every time i tried to load it, i began to mess around with diffrent settings like paralel port mode (ECP,EPP,ECP+EPP...), re-installed mach3 and so on.
i got mach3 to run again but now i get no response from my board, tried many many diffrent pin settings, tried to configure just one motor to work but NADA, the board is on - i see some red LED's, but the ones that should work when one of the axis is moving never turn on.
Also the motors are not in step hold if thats how it's called- i can move them by hand when the board is on,this was not possiblle before.
how can i tell if i blew my board,or my paralel port or somthing else,i'm quit desperate at the moment and dont know what else to do
    thanks
    Eran

Check the control IC's if the motors do not run

I have had a similar problem recently. Board was working fine, but after updating my Pc it would not work at all. motors just sat there and hummed. I also noticed the LED's indicating which motor should have been turning were dim. On checking the board I noticed the schmit trigger ic's were 74ac14 versions which are ttl needing 5v triggers. I changed them for 74hc14 which are the cmos versions needing lower triggering voltage and the board works fine. In fact better than before! Maybe worth checking what type you have on your board. Hope this helps

Can someone gave me a set pattern for CNC control with L297 and L298, I mean one that is as original for MACH3, and that tells me which way to determine the initial position, the pins on the port used to it, please if you can help me I explain.

    Thanks

I know this is an old thread but I wonder if anyone was able to figure out how to connect the limits on the DB9 port of this Chinese board.

And how about the spindle interface, anyone had luck to make it work?

Yes. I've done that some years ago. As I can remember, it has 4 limit pins. You just have to use a 4 switches to supply each pin with 5 volt (I think) int other words whenever the machine reaches one of the limits, the switch closes and the respective limit pin should be supplied with 5 volt. For the spindle you just have one pin that activates the relay on board. My relay (or the relay driver) does not work very well.
