Hi everyone. I wanted to check up on stepper math. I need to make sure my computer and motors are on the same page when it come to moving an inch. my steppers run at 200 s\r. On my z axis for example I have the motor coupled to a 1/4-20 all thread rod. So I figure to move an inch it needs to turn 80 times. 80 multiplied by 200 equals 1600. Is this the number I need to place in the steps per box in mach 3? Also can anybody suggest any good CAD programs or tutorials? Thanks |

| It's 20 turns per inch x 200 x microstepping number(ex. 8 for 1/8 step) if you have microstepping drives.
